What is Taste of East Cobb?

Taste of East Cobb is a premier outdoor food festival and community event for tasters of all ages, and has become a favorite annual tradition of area residents since 2006. The festival is held each year on the first Saturday in May and showcases the area’s finest restaurants. The 2024 Taste of East Cobb will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2024 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the south parking lot of Johnson Ferry Baptist Church.

Taste of East Cobb is packed full of great food and plenty to see and do, and offers attendees as well as participating restaurants, vendors and sponsors the best value for your dollar of any of the “taste” events in the Atlanta metropolitan area.

The Taste of East Cobb experience includes:

  • A delicious variety of menu items from the area’s finest restaurants.
  • A Kids’ Zone area with inflatables and fun hands-on activities, including sand art, and face painting!
  • Great live entertainment, featuring performances by the Walton High School’s jazz bands and other East Cobb school bands.
  • Unique products and services offered by local vendors.
  • A silent auction offering unique and valuable merchandise.
  • The “Best of Taste of East Cobb” voting competition.

How much does it cost to attend Taste of East Cobb?

Admission to the festival is FREE! Individual Taste tickets cost only $1.00, and all restaurants’ menu items are offered at only 1 to 5 taste tickets per serving!  Cotton candy, drinks, and activities are offered at 2 to 5 tickets.

Where can I purchase “Taste” tickets?

Tickets will be available to purchase online a few weeks prior to the event or tickets may be purchase at the festival. Look for the TICKET tent.

Are there any rules or limitations that vendors and restaurants should be aware of?

While our application forms give a complete set of rules and guidelines, there are some obvious ones worth mentioning here:

  • This is a fundraiser affiliated with the Walton Band Parent Association, and as such no alcohol may be served or consumed during the event.
  • Due to the Cobb County School District affiliation, Taste of East Cobb reserves the right to decline participation to any business based on the appropriateness of their products and/or services.

How many restaurants will be participating at Taste of East Cobb?

Typically, we have over 20 East Cobb restaurants showcasing their best dishes at the event. Come hungry!

Besides great food, what else does Taste of East Cobb offer?

Taste of East Cobb provides one of the only East Cobb community events that allow us all to get together and celebrate our amazing restaurants, businesses, and organizations.

How many people are expected to attend Taste of East Cobb?

Based on recent events a number of 5,000 to 10,000 is a reasonable expectation.

Are pets permitted at Taste of East Cobb?

Yes. Pet owners are expected to keep pets on a leash and to clean up any animal waste.

Where should I park for Taste of East Cobb?

Parking is allowed at Johnson Ferry Baptist Church.  You may park in the north parking lot or south parking lot.  Please do not park by the Johnson Ferry sports fields.

Who is the organizer of Taste of East Cobb?

Taste of East Cobb is organized and produced by the Walton Band Parents Association. WBPA is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization that exists to provide financial, logistical, and administrative support to Walton bands. All proceeds from the annual festival directly benefit the outstanding and award-winning band program at Walton High School, which is one of Georgia’s premier public high schools.
